Yesterday, four members of the Milltown Rescue Squad volunteered their time to teach the Biomedical students proper techniques for assessing the scene, lifting and moving injured patients, and splinting. The Biomedical students got to practice securing necks as they rolled a patient onto a backboard, learned proper strap placement to secure the patients on different medical equipment, and learned how to use a stair chair. The Biomedical students ended their time by practicing splinting arms and legs. It was a fun-filled learning experience for all!

On Friday, May 1st, JPS students participated in the Percussion Festival at Monroe Township High School! Students performed three pieces and received a clinic from Mr. Javier Diaz, a Broadway musician, Afro-Cuban specialist, and professor at Juilliard and NYU. Mr. Diaz also gave a masterclass on Afro-Cuban percussion instruments and rhythms.
JP Stevens student Nitya Wahi was named 2026-2027 Edison Youth Poet Laureate and will compete at the Regional and National Youth Poet Laureate Competition! Other finalists include Nihara Binil and Srinidhi Drakshapelli (all three are JPS students). Congratulations Nitya!

Congratulations to our ACE Mentor Program team who participated in the Construction Industry Round Table National Design and Construction Competition this past Monday in Washington DC. Congratulations to Ms May and the team for their 1st Place finish! In addition, Sai Rishita Kona won the Mark A Casso Memorial Scholarship worth $10,000!

JP Stevens Staff Take the Top Spot at 3rd Annual Hands of Hope Tournament!
We are thrilled to congratulate our incredible JP Stevens staff members for their victory at this year's Hands of Hope Volleyball Tournament!
Competing against the Edison Police and Fire Departments, our teachers showed incredible teamwork and spirit, ultimately taking the top spot for the night. Beyond the court, the event was a massive success for the community, raising $2,600 for the Hands of Hope Food Pantry.
Thank you to the Edison P.B.A. and the JCC for hosting such a wonderful event. Way to go, Hawks!

Students from the JP Stevens Black Student Union attended The Thrive Hub’s 5th Annual Career Exploration Conference at Lafayette College! This is an exciting networking opportunity for our students to meet classmates from across the tri-state area.
We are excited to announce that 4 of our students' work from the Middlesex County Teen Arts competition were awarded with an invitation to compete at the State Teen Arts Festival in June!!
